Intro to Film & Story Boarding
The aim of this course is to support you as you begin developing your film & storyboarding skills.
This course is designed for learners aged 19 years or over who wish to gain the knowledge and fundamentals of film making as a creative career opportunity.
These units will together help you to develop your creative eye, learn about story boarding and sketching techniques, understand the technical aspects of using a film camera, understand colour theory, basic editing skills, set etiquette and learn new techniques

- Styling and aesthetics building
- On-set prep and etiquette
- Direct your own film
You will learn about the different styles of filming, how to direct and capture your vision, storyboarding and sketching ideas. You will also develop the knowledge and skills to be able to work the camera, set up the studio and direct your own film.
Throughout these units:
- You will complete theory work and completing activities in lesson and as homework. You will learn through lessons, group discussions, hands on experience, trial and error and research..
- Each learner will have a one to one at the end of each week with their tutor they will give you regular updates on your progress both verbally and in written feedback
- you will achieve the creation and development of your video/film and learn the style that fits you best and that you want to continue pursuing. These skills involve lessons including exploring creative industry paths that these skills are perfect for & that align with your ambitions to pursue after the course
